The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP) to join their commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile defence projects from their Birmingham office, applying best commercial practices to maximise project profitability and financial performance.
The Role
You will take ownership of the commercial aspects of medium to large-scale MEP projects, working with NEC Option C contracts.
Key responsibilities include:
Reviewing and interpreting contract terms, identifying risks and opportunities
Ensuring compliance with all contract requirements
Managing cash flow forecasts, payment applications, and revenue monitoring
Overseeing subcontractor procurement and management
Producing accurate cost, revenue, and margin reports
Negotiating final accounts and assisting with dispute resolution
Building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues
About You
Proven experience delivering the commercial function on medium to large MEP projects
Strong knowledge of NEC Option C contracts
Confident in forecasting, cost control, and contract negotiation
Capable of working independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
